There are better accommodations on the island than Chogogo Resort.

This is a perfect family vacation resort! Visited: March 2005

Our large family of six had a wonderful three-bedroom bungalo. We lived out on the veranda with a spectacular view of the Caribbean Sea, and we saw huge cruise ships ply by.

The flora and fauna were really terrific - especially for a arid island. We saw large yucca and aloe vera. The Jan Theil Beach was a very easy two-block walk. It offered wonderful snorkeling - angelfish, eel, blue tang, and rainbow.

A swim out deck was a hit with the boys. It was nice to have the Chogogo pool to come back to. There were three pools.

We enjoyed watching the delightful brightly colored lizards begging for crumbs at the restaurant, and they were also a hit with the kids.

The staff at the restaurant was very kind and laid back and very eager to please.

A daily shuttle to the grocery was very nice, too! You must take a sailboat trip to the sunken tug - the fish there were terrific. Also, the rope swing was a hit with the kids.

We were the only Americans at Chogogo during our stay. The kids made some friends, but since we do not speak Dutch it was difficult to converse. That was the only downfall.

We will definitely come back to Chogogo on our next visit to Curacao!

RESTAURANT(NICE SETTING)HAS A BUFFET BREAKFAST WITH SCRAMBLED EGGS EVERY MORNING. NO OTHER PLACE TO EAT. FOOD AT DINNER WAS AVERAGE AND VERY LIMITED. JAN THIEL BEACH(WALKING DISTANCE) IS BULKHEADED WITH ROCKS IN WATER. GOOD SNORKLING. FOOD AT RESTAUANT WAS AVERAGE AND VERY LIMITED. Chogogo Resort is highly recommended! Visited: December 2003

We stayed at the Chogogo resort for nine nights in November/December 2003.

We booked a bungalow, because we thought it had more privacy than a studio or an apartment. Our bungalow had a wonderful view on the Jan Thiel bay. With two persons, we got a hugh bungalow, with three bedrooms, two bathrooms.

The restaurant was not big, but for a first night in Curacao it was perfect. There was live music, a guitar player.

At Chogogo we could rent a car with air conditioning, delivered washed, vacuumed, etc.

We could change towels for the bathrooms each day, twice a week the bungalow was cleaned, and bed linens were changed. Each day we could bring beach towels back and get washed ones back.

There was an internet computer for which you could buy internet minutes.

Also, the staff was very helpful.

Thank you, Chogogo staff for a wonderful stay! Next time we come to Curacao, we will book a bungalow on your park again!

This resort is beautiful! Visited: January 2002

We loved this resort. We rented a two-bedroom bungalow. It was our house for the week. The views from the porches were simply breathtaking. There were beautiful flowers all around.

We loved Jan Thiel Beach. The snorkeling from the beach here was very good. The sunken tugboat was nearby. The reataurant at Chogogo was also pretty good - it was by the pool.

If we returned to Curacao, this is where we would stay again. It was very quiet, and the grounds were beautiful. The lady we rented from was Dutch, as was this side of the island, it seemed.

Note: the electrical outlets at this resort are not as most in Curacao. Because most people who visit this resort are European, so are the outlets.

The Chogogo Resort is clean, nicely furnished, relaxed and quiet. Visited: July 2001

I reserved my room site unseen, but was very pleased upon arrival. Although the two-bedroom bungalows were attached to another bungalow, they were pretty private. You could walk to the water in five minutes, and to Jan Theil beach with great restaurant and bar, plus superb dive sites.

Curacao was a wonderful island, with friendly people, and great hidaway coves and beaches that are a must see. Diving was excellent - the clarity and the reefs were pristine. The snorkeling was not the best, as most shallow sites were mainly sand bottom, but we did see octopus. The town was worth visiting, and the moving bridge was a hoot! All in all, Chogogo was very pleasant and we will return one day.
